We finally got the wooden partition in the Middle since it gave our bunnies more space. we hitched a bottle of water just to the left of the door of the cage of wire and the bowl of pellets just below the door of the wire, so the kids could easily open the door of wire and dump the cup of food in. the bunnies have nibbled a bit on wooden door and the plastic feet (we have a running set up around hutch) but no major chomping
